Job Title: Electrical Supervisor
Department: Electrical Department
Position Summary:
To assist the Marine Electrical Department Head in planning, implementation, and completion of electrical work. Duties include examining plans and potential sites, enforce a budget for their projects, and training, mentoring and supervising electricians in implementing the electrical plan. Ensure all safety measures and regulations are followed, as accident prevention and worker safety are the highest priority. Monitor work progress and coordinate with the site coordinators or project managers to deliver progress reports. Electrical The work environment will be indoors and outdoors.
Key Responsibilities:

They will supervise electrical work using engineering sketches, drawings, diagrams and specifications. Supervise operations using standard equipment to accomplish scope of work. Supervise the working environment for compliance with quality, safety, environmental and health regulations. Must have knowledge in blueprint (reading, interpret) including sketching; wiring diagrams, ships electrical systems, NAVSEA Standard item requirements and OSHA safety requirements.
- Coaches, directs, coordinates, facilitates, and supervises electrical staff.
- Ensures the technical competency and quality of work performed by staff.
- Assists in implementation of departmental standards and improvements.
- Responsible for monitoring, and adhering to budgets and report any potential difficulties to the department head
- May assist in research and analysis of client requests associated with electrical design.
- Assist in generating analyses, specifications, and estimated construction schedules for projects.
- Coordinate with various engineering groups including mechanical and structural groups
- Communicate on behalf of the electrical Department Head with clients, vendors, and relevant stakeholders on projects.
- Participate in team project meetings.
- Prepare technical information and presentations for peers, teams and clients.

are highly valued. - Oversee the installation of electrical systems on multiple new projects.
- Supervise workers and contractors on multiple projects to ensure their work follows plans and is on schedule.
- Provide oversight and assistance in all testing requirements of the specification or test memo energized and not.
Required Qualifications:
· Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field, or equivalent of a minimum of (5) years of experience in electrical engineering design or related
o Current NAVSEA approved Fiber Optic or Multipin certification
· Experience:
o Vast body of shipyard electrical experience.
· Skills:
o Ability to accurately interpret and critically evaluate design drawings and schematics

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Power Point and Abode Acrobat.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing setting with moderate to loud noise levels from production activity. They must be able to walk to and from job sites. The person must be able to climb inclined stairways and vertical ladders; to enter confined areas and tanks; or review work at heights. The incumbent must be able to frequently bend, squat, crawl, twist and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. They may be required to work more than 8 hours and weekend work. There may be local travel and out-of-town travel (including air travel).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat, near moving mechanical parts and includes occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and to vibration; While in production areas the person will be exposed to noise, dusts, and odors.
